Gippsland Modeller's Centre

An Extension of the Traralgon Men's Shed

Established by Zibby Lelito, the centre is a workshop where the community can come and design and make models by themselves.

The workshop displays locally built models of ships cards, engines and airplans as well as act as a resource centre with access to modelling information, specialised tools, plans and a meeting place for modellers to share ideas.


As part of the workshop a program for children can be put on. Using laser cut card models, sourced from Shipyard models, students learn to read plans construct frames and fittings and fasioning the exterior parts of their models, producing highly creditable results, as can be seen below.
