Bench seats made to order. Outdoor furniture made to measure. Made from local Cyprus pine and can be left raw, or benches can be oiled or painted. Extra cost for painting.

Do you want to learn how to make a side table and use power tools?
Traralgon Men’s Shed & Woodworking Inc. are starting again Spring 2020.
Small classes – limited to 6 participants per session for 4 weeks.
Time: 5.30 for 6pm start, till approximately 8pm, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Starting the 4th of February and finishing on the 26th of February.
Learn new skills and gain confidence.
Use equipment such as sanders, drills, band saw, drop saw, thicknesser and more.
Cost of $150 covers membership, insurance, tea/coffee, materials and incidentals.

Approximate Program Breakdown;
Night 1 & 2 (Week 1)
Payment either EFT prior to session or cash on the night
Registration form completed and PPE given to each participant
Introductions and shown shed facilitates
Use Planner/Thicknesser to prepare wood
Measurer wood
Use drop saw and/or bandsaw to cut to size
Use router to clean up edges of legs
Night 3 (Week 2)
Prepare tabletop – 4 boards
Use sander, clamps, glue, and biscuit machine
Night 4 (Week 2)
Sand legs and shape if required on table saw
Mark legs for mortise and tenon joints
Sand Table top
Night 5 (Week 3)
Work on Mortise and Tenon joints
Use Mortise machine, table saw, bandsaw
Glue and clamp frame when ready
Night 6 (Week 3)
Dry assemble table, adjust using set square
Glue and clamp frame, and check for square
Night 7 (Week 4)
Sanding, Figure 8’s for attaching table top to frame
Attach tabletop – screw and drill
Final sanding
Night 8 (Week 4)
Stain or paint
Complete feedback/assessment
